Joe and Barbara are the managers of Sayari Camp which is located in the northern section of Serengeti National Park. The Sayari camp has been a part of Honeyguide’s small business project in Machochwe since its beginning 5 years ago. Both of the managers are happy to be a part of the project and say the project is a real success because simply because the quality of the product. Safari camps in the Serengeti area generally get all or some of their vegetables trucked in from Arusha which usually takes 2-3 days to arrive on hot, dusty trucks. Produce from local communities near the park provide freshly picked vegetables in a time conscious manner – it usually takes one day to receive the produce after the request has been sent to the Honeyguide office in Mugumu.
