The Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism have announced that the proposed tarmac road through the Serengeti National Park will not be developed. A tarmac road will be constructed from Makutano to Mugumu. The stretch from Mugumu to the park boundary and through the park, past Ololosokwan to Loliondo town will remain gravel.
